When an achievement drive isn’t enough

 

This global beverage brand with a longstanding history of success, found themselves challenged with union disputes. The executive team were feeling the impact on operational costs and decided to review their approach. We were invited to facilitate their decision making. With a programme of problem solving activities, leadership profiling, and 360 feedback the team became increasingly aware of the challenges in their team dynamic.

The turning point came following a cultural values assessment, which revealed the excess costs of a culture overly focused on achieving targets. It was a moment of mutual recognition that they were not the people with the right motivation, energy and team cohesion to take the organisation to the next stage. Subsequently, the team disbanded. Sometimes letting go makes way for the right people.
